Brakes fixed - replaced all 4 springs and dust caps with nice new ones , new 70mm pads and shoes and some judicious adjustment - pretty sharp stopping now :-) Gil turned up trumps with the decals again and so this one is finished for now, a nice upright and comfortable ride...

Imported by current owner in 1997, kept ever since.
I would go and get this myself, but have business trips coming up
Nice project for someone
Love the cantis, choice items, the black theme also goes really well with the blue frame. MTB bar probably has too many logos and lettering but I am sure you are on the case with that, overall a very clean looking build, and not frankenbike at all

a real shame, but if you are never going to be happy with it, best to cut your losses before more expenditure. hang on to those parts and especially the bull moose as another frame will surely come along at some point, there are quite few early muddy fox 'survivors' out there for instance -...
Nice project, will scrub up well. Someone should be able to identify the unusual seat post clamp arrangement there, I thought Tom Bromwich at first so Orbit would be close, but all the braze-ons and fork would point towards a more modern build -late 90s and the dropouts are more...
