This fork is in excellent shape internally, apart from the all too common crumbly elastomers. Replaced them with some coils of unknown origin that I found lurking in the garage. Also fitted new seals and fresh oil in the damper. A shedload of Slikoleum grease and all should be good till the damper inevitably shits itself again! That's better. What did you do about the fork internals?
Yeah, springs are a nice upgrade, ride nicer, aren't affected by temperature and won't crumble. The only downside is the added weight, if that bothers you, they're not really 'SL' anymore.Nice, I put Speed Springs in my '96 SL, worked out pretty good. Do you have the ti bolts on yours?
