I was thinking Reflex, or Peugeot, Grisley, etc. All I think used the same Peter Grisley design.

Although maybe not. Just checked my Peugeot TeamLine and it has internal cable routing and wishbone seat stays. (Really should have checked before my first post!)
 
Slight update;

Over on the Golden Era Facebook group someone posted a picture of a Claude Butler which is very similar. There's still differences (the scallop at the top of my seat tube), but I think this is closer than anything else I've seen.

Anyone know what year/model this Claude Butler is?;

That looks familiar.

I acquired one of those several years ago. My initial guess was a Dynotech, but it wasn't- there were too many differences.

I kind of ended up assuming it was a far eastern frame made for a shop maybe?

Rode really nicely though; whatever it was.

That does have the 'scalp' you have and was said to be bought in 1992 (from their memory). So a 93 or earlier year model
