Totally O/T - new 'classic' cro-mo hartails?

Andy & Si i didnt mean to come across as an old retro bike cant do those things, i just feel a modern hardtail is slighty better accomodated for the really rough stuff, i must say it probably depends who im out riding with and what they class as techi, Brett and Sutty who i very occasionaly go out with think a cobbled bridleway is techi, but then i go out with John i feel far safer and more comfortable on my modern bike because we really do push each other and our bikes to the limit, and my rigid retro bikes certainatly would pop me in hospital im fairly sure.
Im sure you can do anything you wish on a retro bike by why make do and struggle when you have a couple of bikes that fit diffrent riding styles.
I think if you are going to have 1 bike wethre it being a retro or modern bike you have to build it to suit your ridding
