Show us your Scott!!

No. Mostly good ol' XT. Only the Brakes are XTR.
The team racings had a full XT set, the pro racings were XTR, iirc.
The frame is the all the same.
I have a spare XTR set, but I wouldn't mount it on the team racing... Would be wrong somehow. And I really like the XT.

Re:

1990 Scott Pro Racing

This is a rusteration project I've yet to start.

The previous owner had bought it used and had been commuting on it. The stem and bar are extremely corroded, the seat post is tatty, and every spoke is beyond salvage. The Scott saddle (dated Jan '89) is pretty scruffy, but usable, and the slick tyres are coming off, to be replaced with a pair of NOS Ritchey Duro.

But the Deore XT kit looks to be in good shape - the cranks especially. The rims and hubs aren't too bad either.

As for the paint ... a bit of elbow grease brought the green back to life (it's lovely and vivid), but those pink decals were once orange. I did originally think about getting it resprayed but now I think it's best to leave it as it is. :)

Perhaps on the high-end models, my 94 has a quill stem but then again it was so low-end that it had a full Alivio set when new.

Re:

I think the '93 brochure shows the Team Racing and Pro Racing with ahead stems.

I know this is a '98, but couldn't resist,

Slightly different from how I got it,

Mike
