Oil Fired Heating/Water

Thanks for the response guys.

I've done some sums, and it doesn't look too bad.

There is gas in the street, but for some unknown reason not at the property. I guess getting gas connected will be something I need to look in to when the boiler needs replacing.

Plastic tank.
 
Oil always felt very expensive in the two houses we had that used it but I think that was because you'd fill it a few times a year so always a big chunk of cash opposed to the monthly trickle of DDs for gas etc. If I were buying (we rented the above mentioned) I'd consider oil a mark against the house but not a show stopper.
