Re: Re:
Try and find excuses to be more active, than less. Modern life has many jumping in cars to go around the corner. Use the stairs rather than lifts or escalators when you can. Park further from the supermarket door. If you use the bus, get off a stop earlier. If you're going to buy some groceries, consider whether it's near enough to walk and whether you're getting anything that heavy. If you're going to the corner shop, walk. If you're taking the kids to school and it's not that far, walk - it'd be a better start of the day for them too.
As people age, they naturally slow down a bit, and gravitate towards the easier, path of least resistance. So fight back, use every excuse to do the more active alternative. Good habits can be encouraged too, it just takes a little bit of will and effort.
There's a very good point in there, that resonates with me, and I also thing it's something of a significant factor to people as they age.highlandsflyer":3ly9aau2 said:My wife won't go a day without a run. Whatever the weather, no matter how much is on.
Think about how active you are, and work out how to increase. Try to integrate more activity into your daily life, rather than scheduling gym time or specific 'rides' or whatever. Even stuck in an office it is surprising how many ways you can change your day to accommodate more activity.
Get a mistress.
The sex won't burn many more calories, but the worry and stress will see the pounds fly off; and then there is the running from the angry wife.
Well done by the way, 2 stone is a serious load to shed!
