Right then, first timer here. Lights: what's needed? I'm assuming my flashing red LED rear light will be enough but up front some investment is needed. What do you and others use? I'd like something decent and reliable and of course, long lasting.

No rear light as it would blind/distract anyone behind especially in the rain.

Last year I used a lezyne powerdrive xl and a couple of others as backups and was fine in the early hours. You'll need something a bit longer lasting though for all night...........

didn't you know .......Now its moved away from the Malvern Hills, Rain is band

in past years they've had FOC top up/charging points for lights but I guess if your riding solo that's a mute point
since it will need down time.

I've got some Hope lights for winter training and they last a good 7/8 hrs between charging
this year will be my first time to use them off road though

Another newbie question, this time about the facilities. I see showers are provided, are toilets as well? Just sorting out the camper van hire and figuring out if I defo need to rent one or can use what's there (the site isn't particularly helpful).

Re:

Toilets are a plenty and well dotted about.
Thankfully they're well maintained as well ....if you catch my drift.
