Klein Adroit Rainforest- ultralite inspired unicorn build

Disco Drive

Senior Retro Guru
Well, it happened just as I predicted. Sell car to pay off debts and shortly after, my ultimate dream bike comes along.
Not just in the right colour but the right size... and here’s the kicker- it was located only a forty minute drive away!
It also turned out I knew the seller. What one might call a no brainer then?

The deal was done inside of a week with the frame secreted away in the loft whilst I :
A) arranged for the paint to be refreshed by Jonrock
B) tried to decide on a theme for the build.
C) thought about how I could break the news gently to my better half.

A few months have passed by now and the fuselage is currently with Jon.
I have also (through a process of elimination) decided on the componentry.

I am going for an ultralite inspired build but with certain changes made not just for financial and rarity’s sake but also preference.
Anyway, here’s the fuselage as collected.

I have some period built carbon fibre lever blades for SS5s I'm never likely to use? Not on the spec, but in the right spirit!

This is going to look sick with polished White industries parts. I supoust that the Stheno will be polished too? Good choice for this color of the frame. I used White industries parts for my Hei Hei but I don't have the chainset made in USA so please when you can post some photos of the chainset. Tanks...and enjoy the build of this beauty ;)

Re:

I’m actually going mirror finish with black. The Sthenos are dark coating and I’m using DT double butted spokes in black. Blackwall tyres too. I did consider anodising the hubs and crank arms but they look so good with mirror finish!
