If you have a dog then check the new rules for going to the beach.

I read something recently which suggested dog's impact on sea shore wildlife was rather profound - especially if allowed to run free eg forcing birds to move who are exhausted from migration or nesting, discouraging natural carrion eaters who apparently won't touch something if a dog has etc. Never owned a dog myself, and always found the sight of a dog running at speed rather uplifting - but didn't previously appreciate how much harm letting rover run free on the beach had.

There are no new rules for dogs on beaches. They have been there for many years.
