BoTM Bike of The Month December 2023 - now taking entries

Bike of The Month
Jam_SWorks - 1988/89 Peugeot Trail

Low price entry this time. But seasonally on story. Almost 35yrs ago exactly! this bike was the first MTB I got for Christmas. As a young teenager the Peugeot Trail fluorescent salmon pink over black was the start of my mountain bike adventures. That was me hooked. 3 months ago I finally found one and restored it. This full rebuild to catalogue spec appears in my Pug thread:

Wow. I have exactly the same bike - and story! The fat man also squeezed himself down the chimney with Peugeot Trail for me that year… and I picked a mint one up on eBay only last year to replicate that ‘80s feeling!

(Which is to say it rides exactly as I remember.. the less said about the characteristics, the better - but pure nostalgia).

Good luck!

Vesatoro's 10/1997 Cannondale F2000 for the December and X-mas time.

The second time I announce the bike, the first was original owner special I think. The bike has evolved a bit, after all it's a rider, not a wall hanger. Often the bike is equipped with a longer stem, setback post and modern tires for gravel type rides. But now set up with the show parts for the X-mas photoshoot.
