the shiny ones?

what do you suggest i should do to restore it to it's former glory then?

thanks.

Best thing for getting the oxidisation off and bringing the frame back to it's natural brushed finish is Cif cream kitchen/bathroom cleaner and one of those rough plastic cleaning pads. Clean it up with plenty of soapy water aswel and it should look a lot brighter.
They were never polished or laquered as standard. Just satin brushed finish.

a picture paints a thousand words.

this is the same finish as on my MOHO and it's what i'm talking about.

mine looks a bit worse though, dull and scratched in places and i want to
completely strip it and then <insert action here> to make it look like new :).

were we talking about the same thing afterall or not?

thanks.

i took the bike to a car polisher a couple of days ago and we test-polished
the frame in a few small patches and it seems it will come up a treat! :D

but the weird thing is that it doesn't seem to have a clear coat on yet it
doesn't oxydate like normal bare aluminium would?
