Forks cleaned up and ready to retouch. Original badly-matched touch-in was easily removed with a little nail polish remover.

Interesting to see the internals of that headset.

Yes, that's right. 7/8" stem clamp with sleeved 1" steerer. Came to me minus the original stem and fitted with a 1 1/8" stem, double shimmed to fit. I've managed to source a 1" ahead stem so at least I'll only need to shim from 7/8 to 1". Hoping to get it built up this weekend having spent the last couple of days with polish and touch-up paint.

Paint condition overall was not too bad apart from the dropouts and peppered downtube. Hopefully a bit more T-cutting will blend in my attempts to colour-match

Yes it is, maybe slightly darker - that's three blue bikes now - I need to mix it up a bit
