What he said.
But they do keep samples given by athletes for years, so as testing techniques get better if they are cheating they will eventually be found out.

There was a tv prog some years ago, before the LA doping scandal, where a senior International Anti Doping Specialist mentioned they had retested fridge (b) samples of most of the famous Olympic champions and those of other sports of the 80s ans early 90s. He said so many were doping, Carl Lewis etc they just decided to stfu about it.

They are already altering the genes of potential athletes to express desirable performance traits. Too much national pride and politics at stake not to i guess.

Since USADAs 'reasoned decision' was published, many people seem to think they know it all when it comes to the substances or the why's & hows of doping in sport. You can't deny that cycling changed during that summer of 2012 for many reasons & I think a lot of practices ceased in the wake of Lance comeuppance.
I'm not for sweeping anything under the carpet, but do the cycling fans really need a witch-hunt on this side of the pond? For what could be TUEs

So the problem with sport now is £££ $$$? Making money. Remember the days of amateur sports? Perhaps put a cap on the money to be made? So they get paid like the rest of us. A wage. Or remove the amounts from sponsors like Nike? Then the greed factor is removed. After all isn't about the taking part and the competition plus winning.

Re:

I can't understand the motivation they have to take drugs and ride ?
When I have a big bag of ahem I can't be arsed to get the bike out of the garage

Re:

If you were Wiggo and had a sports agent filling you full of sh1te, National sponsors and media hounding you day and night to perform and you were feeling under the weather, what would you do ? If you dont place high/win its game over anyway and all the moolah and attention dries up. So...he risks it and the team develop a strategy of smoke and mirrors to baffle any investigation with BS down the line.

Its a marketing business at the end of the day and nobody gives a t00ss who came second in a TDF. The all or nothing mentality takes over. Its the same with crims bringing huge amounts of drugs into the country, maybe 90% get through, they cash in, then some will go legit, others get incarcerated eventually. Its the modern get rich or die tryin mentality.
