Another Benotto 3000 restoration

I’m a to collect my first ever vintage project and don’t have a clue what to do with the paint. I don’t know if it’s original and to have it touched up or strip and repaint. I think it’s a 3000 from Italy according to my research so far. It’s going to be a restoration with modern group but vintage/style cockpit etc. Any help/advice is much appreciated.

If it’s got campy dropouts then it’s a 3000. And it’s also got the lovely diamond shaped chainstays

I have to say this is after 1979 due to the rear mech cable routing being under the chainstay.

Would love to see what you do with it

I like the idea of a restomod in this, would go the campagnolo route, record, maybe EPS?

It should certainly have Campagnolo but I'd draw the line just before EPS as I don't think that classic steel frames suit all the electrickery stuff.

I was of the mind originally that it needed Campy but then I saw all the old vintage bike with a host of Shimano etc and thought oh. So I’m going polar opposite and sticking Force 1 on it. I’d never have EPS again after my experiences with Version 1.
