Specialized (model unknown!)

Dirt Disciple
Good evening everyone. A friend of my mother’s has had this sitting in her garage for years and asked me to have a look at it to give her a steer on whether it’s worth anything.
It appears to be a Specialized of some sort although the frame has clearly been (poorly) repainted at some stage so I’m not sure.
It’s got some pretty decent components on it though - particularly of course the Pace fork. The flex stem appears to work fine.
The whole thing needs a thorough clean, gears lubed and indexed etc but with the frame stripped down and repainted I think it could be really nice.
Any advice on what it might be worth would be appreciate. If anyone is interested I can put you in touch with the lady whose looking to get rid of it.
I know she wouldn’t be capable of dismantling the bike to sell the components separately so I’m afraid there wouldn’t be any opportunity for that.
Thanks.

That looks like a heavily upgraded '93 rock hopper.

Can't say the frame has any value in that condition, but the fork is probably 150-200 and the ground control tyres might be worth something if they aren't knackered.

Xt stuff will sell, but it's not Megabucks. So I reckon £175-200 is probably a good price

Thanks very much for your feedback.
I think I’ll clean it up a bit, have a closer look at the components and all being well put it on for £225. I’m sure the owner would be happy with that.
