Re:

I love the paint drying method.

It's all looking rather nice, looking forward to seeing it built up.

Re:

Thanks Neil ;)

I'm looking forward to getting it together. May bring it to Honc if it works out well.

Well, now that Mrs Muz has moved in and is happy to do all the housework, I've got plenty of elbow grease to put to good use Nick !

Re:

Hi folks,

Another mini update for you.
The forks are now blue, yippee! But still need lacquer  And I forgot to download photo of them as they are now
However, I put the spare forks I had in so I could mock it up a bit.
So here's how the controls are looking,

Whilst at the other end, having put in an axle the right length

And the comfort zone,

Really need to get a nicer looking pinch bolt for that

Got the back (shorter) cantis on now too, as well as the chainset and mechs

I did order a DX headset, but ended up getting two top cups and no bottom frame fixed one  so have another on the way .

That's all for now. Hope next time, we'll have the forks in!

Mike

Re:

Thank you for your kind comments ;)

For a low end bike, it seems to get some flattering comments  The blue is such a deep colour, fantastic, and hopefully complemented by shininess bolted onto it!

That's looking very neat, and with my favourite handlebars too.

They were, my good fellow, sent as KARMA from RobMac north of the border! Top bloke, And he seems to like hills too, looking at the MacRetro aftermath thread. What a fantastic place to ride a bike  I have to go and meet up with those boys sometime Neil

Typical Scot, generous to a fault.

June is the best time of year; often dry, not too many visitors, not much bracken and not too many midges.

Too many visitors are a bit of a nuisance, but good for the local economy and midges are just a bl**dy nuisance, although they don't bite me too badly.
