1991 Klein Pinnacle (finished on page 20)

@27motorhead no bodge job here, fantastic work! While I'm also partial to the Green version the Pink rat version actually looks pretty cool

Thanks to making the effort to show us all how a well executed "Let's go against what's expected" Klein restoration could look like 👍😁

@Canuckbiker you’re welcome! Hats off to you for doing such as cracking respray despite the trials and tribulations that home rattle can can chuck at you!

I do think the rat pink finish would look awesome with a good clear coat over the top. There’s something about rescuing an old item and embracing all of its patina by just giving it a bloody good clean and polish. It requires quite a skill and good eye to know quite how to achieve that look/feel. When you shared the photo of the rubbed-back paint that’s the stage I felt the frame was at, not contrived or it’s just undergone a distressed/shabby chic make-over, but it felt “just right” and could have been stickered and clear coated IMHO. However you just knocked it out the park with your respray and who doesn’t love a bit of late 80s/early 90s bit of neon green?!* 😍😎

Cheers brother 👍 😁

Bit of an update, the Vittoria Spinx NOS tires arrived and were fitted. I love 'em! Really nice look, a bit darker side walls and the odd sidewall colour dark spot I'm sure from being folded and stored 25 or so years. A bit lighter weight too, brought total weight down to 22lbs even 😁

Officially done 😎 (except for one rim decal...)

A couple small updates: finally received and added the missing "Mavic" part of the rear rim decal. I could not track down 230 SBP decals so ordered a random Mavic rim decal, cut and fitted the "Mavic" half and seemed to work pretty well combined with the still in tact 230 SBP portion. Also painted the water bottle bolts to match the frame paint 😁

A nice sunny day was calling me out for some better glamour shots:

Great pics, bike is looking ace in the sunlight 😎. Nice to see you’re still getting out for a ride, snow and ice here so my bikes are laid up 😔.
