At least I think it’s late 80’s - anyone know? There’s not much info about on these..

It’s actually quite a pretty frame, the top of the seat tube is butted and the bottom is flared(?) squashed(?), not sure how to say - looks like an early Kona. Does that make sense?

Looks like it might be a US import, the brakes are cabled US style. I got it from North London - so who knows what journey this has been on!
Mostly Exage/300lx but the rear brake/shifter has been swapped for a suntour thumbie/brake lever thingy..
18”x21.5” so a nice medium size, I love the paint and pink/purple decals. Should be a fun one this. :)

It will be 1990 or slightly newer. In 88/89 the Exage groupset had names such as Trail, Mountain, Country. The numbering for Exage was introduced from 1990 onwards.

Thanks - I’ll see if I can find date codes, I think the Exage bits are country so it’s a bit confusing.

Component date codes are OH, OJ, OI so mid 1990 (1991 model year as above) - will have to change the thread title.

(Sorta) finished.. I went with a 1x9 on this using an XT mech and sunrace thumbie shifter. Brakes are Avid V’s, Alex rims on Stx hubs with OG Wildgripper sprints. Roadie fsa 170mm cranks with single chainring up front. Odessey bear trap pedals. Brooks B66s saddle (comfy :) ). Original paint polished up a treat, looks a million dollars.
I may try a slightly higher stem to get the bars up a bit higher but otherwise all good.
Another one lives to fight another day!
;)
