‘89 Brodie Romax (Sky Camo) FINISHED BUILD PAGE 3

hi ryan
love this bike. having seen it in person at the swap meet i know how special it is.
you were right to grab it in any condition. they are hard to come by. if you've spoke
to warhorse recently he might have told you i got his romax with the miss matched
curved gator a few months back. :)
Thanks Roy.

I think I heard that. Very cool that it made its way to you. I especially like the U-Brake/RC curved 🐊 - I’m thinking there’s really not many of those? Hope you got some nice rides in before the cold weather:)

I guess it’s time to show what I’ve done with it. This is how it’s built up now and it’s perfect. It’s more or less catalogue aside from the seat post. I guess one thing that I wish was that the Prestige bars had a little bit more sweep and length. They’ve got the Control Tech extenders though, so I guess at least one of my wishes came true.

This is the third iteration. There’s been a silver chain ring variation, a newer Brodie ICR variation and lastly an early build had some Syncros bar ends that in retrospect, really did look bad. Haha. Anyways, here it is (build specs below).

Sweet singletrack! I can almost feel the tacky, moist, dirt. Perfect mtb trail.
Totally! I relocated to Montreal in June and am lucky to live about 10 minutes from the base of Mont Royal by bike. I’d say it’s more like a big hill but for being smack dab in the middle of the city, it’s awesome! Nice gradual gravel trail up to the top along with all the walkers, tourists and other cyclists and then a wide variety of trails to choose from to fly back down on. They’re super fun to ride!

Nice, it's got a bit of 1990 Kona Explosif about it with the pink and blue splatter, this is a 89 bike so i wonder if Kona got the idea from this.
