It was definitely worth the £100 and definitely worth the time and ed effort I put into it to sort it out. Without any doubt.
You done an amazing job with it. We knew it would take a lot of work and expense but the end result makes it all worth while :D

Likewise, I wouldn't be the right person to own another Zinn in need of restoration - far too many projects already so it would simply languish in storage for many years until I could do it justice.

Very interested to see how the seller responds.

Re: Zinn on ebay

Bike wasn't as described.

Would you have bid to the level that you did if you knew the tt was dinged?

Would you have bid at all?

You need a minimum refund of half the cost of the bike. Or get your money back and wait for another.
Very bad form by the seller.

Personally I would want a full refund or a half refund and keep the bike.
On the other hand if I was the seller I wouldnt want to be giving half refunds!

Be prepared to give back the bike.

And get relisted Hopefully. With all the nonsense on this thread, i would so love it to only make half the original selling price.

Happy Dayz.....

It would be better than mint, it would be a BotY candidate... 8)

I hope the seller has the stones to do the right thing for the buyer, if not we shall have to see. Either way its outed and has enough interest to find a suitable home im sure.

Finally got around to doing a bit of research to back up my "rubbish"...

The man from Reynolds says: http://www.classicrendezvous.com/British_isles/reynolds/Reynolds753artl.htm
it tends to dent easier than other tubings because it is so thin... Once a 753 frame is actually bent, it is a major undertaking to make it right again.
These folks won't even touch it: http://www.merciancycles.co.uk/renovation
Unfortunately 753 tubing cannot be repaired.

I can understand Mercian's reluctance to repair an old frame made of thin tubes, a bit like Russian Roulette

Really mate you really ought to learn to read, and take it on board. Please read it properly. Reynolds did not say it could not have a dent issue resolved. And its not a statement i saw from Dave yates either.

And if it cannot be repaired how come im not the only one on this site that has done it.

Really mate you need to read some threads....

As for backing up your arguement .............WHICH ONE........... I dont know.
