You've got £25k to buy a car

Re:

Mazda RX-7, the ultimate money pit

My preference would be for a pimped out FC model, and it's retro too!

If a Clio is on the list, may as well go all out: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... obcid=soc3

Williams is good, but V6 is....

Yeah, nice, very nice. But tame?

Early ones were known for relative eagerness to exit backwards towards hedges, so not very tame.

Worryingly, my current set of wheels (4 door diesel) beats that Clio v6 for the standard performance figures (0-60, mpg, vmax), though I've never close to the latter.

Don't know what they go for now but I'd have a fast Ford. Escort or Sierra Cosworth, Escort Mk 3 or 4 RS Turbo, Mk 4 XR3i, Fiesta Mk3 RS Turbo..... Yum, yum.

Or a fully restored David Brown / Case from the 1980/88 era. 8) 8) 8)

If I had 25k to spend on a car, I might have about 1k left after I'd bought all the things I want more than a car.
