Looking for a pair of standard reach Calipers 49 -57mm F&R - recessed allen bolt fitting, along the lines of the older Shimano BR600 calipers, Shimano 600 models came in a 47 - 57mm size, model 6207.
These are for my Mercian as when I thought I would build it back up with my Dura Ace 7400, I soon realised that the brake reach was just a few millimetres short :(
So looking for something to get me stopping :)
Any help appreciated.

Cheers
Jamie

**** Sorted just now. Thanks to all for their help**********

Re: WTD: pair of standard reach Calipers 49 -57mm F&R - recessed

Edited wanted ad from a specific Shimano model to any 47 or so to 57mm standard reach sidepull pair of calipers. Preferably Shimano to match the rest of the stuff but open to ideas. At the moment I am just trying to get it back up and rolling with what I have about.

600 Tricolore dual-pivot any good?

I've 6207 too but only as a part of a groupset.

And Campagnolo Record but that's obviously not Shimano .

Thanks for the reply Cybernk, much appreciated
If the 600's have the reach that would be great, I am not sure whether 600 tri colour came with a standard drop, the ones I have here are the usual Shimano 37 - 49mm short reach drop.
I never really realised any difference in the past as everything from the 70's on, I have ever used Shimano on (which is pretty much all my builds) they tend to just fit.
Its annoying as I have a set of 6400, 7400, 7403, 7700 and they are all a normal short reach 37 - 49mm, typical. They just miss by about 3mm or so.
From what I can gather, and this is just from looking about and speaking to a few people this last fortnight, is that from 7700 onwards, ie; 9 speed, calipers only came in 37 - 49mm for the main road race groupsets, they made a R600 and now its a R610 standard reach caliper of 47MM - 57mm in a style similar to and supposedly equivalent to Ultegra, the earlier one matching the 6500 stuff and the later matching the more angular 10 speed stuff.
Earlier than this it seemed that there was a random few models that had a slightly longer reach, trying to find them is a task. The 6207 I am assured from a friend back home is OZ came in 49 -57 as he is running a pair, but every other set I have found have 37 -49 mm reach.
He said his are stamped in the back with the reach, like some of mine but the number is the same 6207.
I do have a couple of earlier shimano brakes but they are nutted fitting not recessed.
So it seems, size does matter after all.

Thanks Shaun
I don't know whether he would want what I have but I will message him now before I go for a ride and see what he thinks.
Much appreciated.
