Wow! Vintage pedals 😵

Those TANK pedals (it sounds even better in French!) are the absolute bomb. They used to be everywhere, on old city bikes, Demi-course tourers and such but very hard to find now. You've put me on the hunt!

imagine everyone is familar with all of the "usual suspects" when it comes to oytoy products

here is a new-to-me oddity only learned of recently

Ucco from Torino

do not as yet know years of operation

Ucco Pedals, Torino .webp Ucco pedal w: Frejus marking ~1950 ,jpg.webp

Frejus marked example

evidently produced long enough to have two patterns of dustcap

perhaps they may have been discussed on classicrendezvous list - am not registered there

That's a new one to me also!

Picked up these venerable TANK pedals, they've had a hard life 😲

Vintage (1900) French Cale Pieds, toe clip manufacture, clock the one with the cat! Apparently these were metal/leather combinations so it's unlikely many would have survived. I've seen later versions in Bakelite.

I remember a set of Phillips 'Philite' rubber tread pedals being on one of my father's bikes for many years. There's a slim chance that they could be in a box or drawer in his garage but I doubt it. I think the 'cats eye' type reflectors in those pictured are custom as I don't recall anything like that.
