Why does my rear Campagnolo Vento sound like a SA 3spd?

I have Vento wheel similar to this Velobase picture:

Yet unlike my Shamal which goes something similar to a Hope, it goes 'tick tick tick' just like a Sturmey...?

It is running a 7 cassette, what 8spd compatible hubs should I look for to change this?

Are your Shamals also 8-speed?

If so then the Pawls/ratchets probably just need a clean TBH.

When freshly greased my Campag Record hub is almost silent, then gets the familiar clicky sound after a couple of hundred miles. One other thought, is it a small bit of the joining part inside the rim that's loose? I don't know about Campag rims, but Mavics can commonly have a loose bit inside the rim cavity.
