Which Tools do I need...

...To remove the bottom bracket from my road bike?

It is a Campagnolo (Chorus?) model with a square taper. I'm certain it is a cartridge type as I can see no lockrings or similar on the non-drive side. I have all the tools to remove a Shimano version, but I'm guessing the Campag version will be different.

I want to remove it so I can drill and tap a small hole in the BB shell so that I can attach the cable guide which has come adrift.

There is no hole there at present so it must have been stuck on with something.

Thanks.

Use double sided tape to attach the guide. There's no strain on it so it should hold.

Mind you, I suppose it depends on the design of the guide :?

drill a small hole in the BB with it in situ. If its a sealed cartridge type, everything will be protected. Then attach the guide with a short self tapping screw. As ned says, there's no strain on the guide, you just need to make shure its held in position and doesnt move.

Thanks everybody and ta for the offer Hamster. Would there be any space between the BB shell and the body of the cartridge itself? If there is, I will go the slf tapper route I think.

should be some space, given that the central bit of the cartridge that fits betwwen the "cup" area is inside the threaded "cups". Does that read well?
