What do you do then if you have a paint chip down to frame i thought fill to just under lever of paint then paint clear coat to bring level with the rest of paint

Yes, that can work well. I have a few to do actually :D This is what most people do and it works fine

Pros will sand down a small area around the chip and then blend in matched paint with an airbrush. Sand and blend again until there is a smooth transition then clear coat. This makes it look more seamless. Sometimes chips leave a jagged edge which can show even with a good match. This gives a better result, but takes 10x as long!!

Ye i found matching a nightmare trying to ask people colors codes etc and asking painters to make small batches up non starter especialy were i live keep getting told we get a car code and just paint theres nothing were i live so i finding it easier to do it all myself i just ordered a mini compresser wirh air brushes and a big anodising kit

It's more fun doing it yourself anyway... learning curve is steep to start with, but keep at it and in no time you'll develop some really awesome skills.
