I know that lorry drivers are vilified unfairly on many occasions but speeding up to keep someone on the wrong side of the road is just being a tool...

By both the law and the general public, one of the reasons i'm off the road.

I do agree with the speeding up, one of the shit*iest things a driver can do, just dont understand the situation Jag man was in.

I sort of think I do. .

Ultimately though, he assessed a safe overtake and the other driver made it not (quite so safe) . .

Yeah ?, and as i said would'nt it have been safer to slow down ?, even though the lorry was in the wrong speeding up, if it was obvious he had speeded up to 60, you know it's a 60 limit and had been done for speeding previously.
Not condoning the lorry driver but IMHO you speeding up to 125mph in a 60 limit is more dangerous than him speeding up to 60.

slowing down would have got me where exactly :?: there was no where for me to go with a line of traffic behind me in my lane and a car coming towards me :shock: I understand what you are saying but do you really think that a lorry purposefully keeping me stuck in an opposing lane was safer than me trying to extricate my self from certain death :?: I have had enough of this topic now,good night.

My car now accelerates quite quickly and if yoof in their 'my first 1.1' try and overtake, I drive off quickly to leave them in the wrong lane looking rather stupid.

very wrong but they shouldnt be overtaking in a 30 zone.


I am also very wrong when it comes to speed humps, I hate people who accelerate then brake for each bump, if they are slow enough, say 15 - 20mph, I will go past them as most cars will go over them without any problems. I did this yesterday to a 4x4 who was doing 15mph, I overtook him at 25mph in a 30 zone. I did not go over the 30 limit.

My next favourite is speed cameras in 60 zone A roads. I overtake the ones that slam on their brakes at 60mph when passing a camera, as if it would go off :roll:
