The signature police, that is.

Some of the members sigs are getting ridiculous. 13-15 lines? Come on. Do you really think we need to know you had 11 different Raleigh tricycles when you were 3? Check the FAQ. 5 lines maximum. Resizing to a smaller font is encouraged.

Yes I had noticed a few overly long signatures here and there.
To summarise the guidance and rules on signatures:

1. 5 lines text max. Consider using a small font.
2. Max picture size 600x100
3. No commercial advertising unless pre-approved by John.

This is purely to make sure that the forum is easier to read and not over-run by 23 lines of what your favourite colour bike was back in 1988 every time you post. etc.

guilty your honour

I didnt know, but i will resize mine, but i blame this site for the large collection below!

a horizontal list as opposed to a vertical one is always nice, the biggest one that irks me is big spaces between the end of the sig & the post footer.

fmj's does this (nothing personal chap!) - is it because they have inadvertently left the spaces there last time they edited or is there witchcraft, pixies & other such nonsense afoot?

drystone paul - how do you gets yours so small, I have tried and failed, what code do i need ot add?

It's quite easy matt. If you look at my sig there's 14 bikes in it (all CURRENT, I might add). If you put (size=10) before and (/size) after the print you want to reduce (replace the () brackets with [] brackets) it will reduce it like you will see in many of the other's sigs.

The size of your personal info on the left is the determining factor of the minimum height of a post. Banners, additional personal info including extra long location lines all add to the total, along with avatar height (mine's perhaps a tad tall).
