Don't you just hate it.

Get an idea in your head, think its going to look the nuts, and actually, when you start, you realise its just a car crash. Gash. Yuk. What was I doing??

Anyway, enclosed is a good demo of how the whole becomes a whole lot less than the sum of parts.....

OK, be honest, there must be some more gopping builds about, do show! Make me feel better please!!

Well it has some really nice parts. Wouldn't take much to save it. I'd just replace the blue parts with black or silver. And put some black wall tyres on. :D :D

indeed. thinking black may be the way forward on this one. Red bike + black is pretty safe. This is partly why I don't really like red bikes.

Would need another project then for all the blue though... :? :D

If you dont like it - change it

If your worried others won't like it, you'll find out here

Personally I find the colours clash a little - otherwise its a good build :)

so what you gonna do ?

Leave it, new paint or new parts :? its a toughy :?

I am going to change it for sure, but thought it was a good show of how bad something can turn out.
Would love to repaint the frame in team Lavender, one of my fave Fat colours, but the paint is not too bad, so would be a shame.

I have a black Ringle stem, some silver cooks skewers and cranks and a Thomson (cough!) post here, so could do a quick changeover and see. Think the blackwall tyres would help too. No good headset though, need to dig around for something. Black king would look cool I think.

Yep i think we have all had moments like you had. I did BITD with a pink Muddy Fox Allu  replaced it with a black Trimble  And i've never been the same since

I like the red frame, cranks

Mmmm, gold is a good idea.

Go for Red, Gold and either White or Cream...like a 1972 Lotus Elan big valve.

..but less is more with the gold or it will look like Mr T's bike...
