What's your dream bike/frame ?

Re:

Cool Mark 8) ,
Have you updated the thread yet? Looks to be about 18" ?

Mike

There's a lot of bikes I'd love to have but my main two are:
An Orange Formula and a Dave Yates Vulcan E-stays :) .

I sure have
I think it's closer to a 17". Even with the 150mm stem and layback post it's still just a tad small :(

Know the feeling mate. I was gutted when I had to sell the Bonty frame I bought from Jon earlier in the year. Such a nice bike to ride, not worth the backache I suffered after riding it though.
If an XL came up though . . . .

Based on the assumption that I am unlikely to find a retro that rides better than my fave moderns (I know, I know  ) I am going to plump for a Klein Attitude in dolomite. I have never ridden one, and I probably wouldn't enjoy riding one now, but the memory of seeing my first one still excites me.

Re:

My Orange Prestige was the bike I wanted bitd, and I managed to buy the frame way back then.
Stupidly sold it.
Missed it greatly.
Then bought it back after it turned up on here a few years ago! :D

So I guess I used to, and still own, my dream bike.

I'd make room for a Ritchey P-21 though

Strangely, my dream bike(s) today aren't the same ones I lusted after back in the day (they were generally the "modern" outlandish designs in carbon fibre or aluminium etc), nowadays I can appreciate a good simple steel frame much more :)

Simple, understated and comfortable to ride all day.

I can see why, nice colour, interesting brakes, not seen those. Like the fork design also. Just a shame about the bottle
But more importantly, why aren't I there, looks like a fabulous setting 8)

Mike

Yeah it's nothing special to look at but having ridden one its as good as it gets imo and better than a Ti bike. Not tried the brakes but the IRDs are legendary for their stopping power it seems. That's a bit picky about he bottle  its of its time. Utah is the venue I think. Never been but it was always a dream. Some mind blowing scary videos of rides there on the Tube. It's always painful when you can't find the right size of your dream bike and a killer deal pops up.
