What suspension forks were available in 1997?

What's wrong with the chrome ones on Ebay at the moment? There's also an orange pair and a yellow pair that need the usual work.

Changing the seals and bushes is so easy and requires no specialist tools but will set you back around £60 in parts.

Good luck in your search!

That's the problem - they go for £50+ and if they need work it'll be £100 before I know it and I can't justify that. Some of the ones on eBay have too short a steerer anyway.

I wouldn't go with pace on a DMR, I don't know why really but it just doesn't go, a no too race bread for a heavier hitting type bike in my mind.

When you click on links to various merchants on this site and make a purchase, this can result in this site earning a commission. Affiliate programs and affiliations include, but are not limited to, the eBay Partner Network.
Just won some Z3 Lites - not exactly what I wanted but they are in silver with blue decals so they will go with the rest of my DMR. Took a chance on a poor listing so they might not work out but I got them cheap enough.

Those were decent forks back in the day, and dead simple to service if they are otherwise solid.

With Ebay you have protection, so if they are goosed you have some come back.

:)

When square-o-philes like Jerky and I are both saying Marzocchi - then it's a no-brainer.

Don't think I've ever seen this much consensus in a Retrobike thread before.
