OK, so I've had it a while (yes it's the one I dented  ). But I'm not actually sure what its proper name is.

On it on various stickers are Raleigh (down tube), Raleigh Special Products (headtube badge), 450 (top tube) and M-Trax Pro-Line (small sticker on seat tube).

So what do I have? Is it simply an M-Trax 450? What's this Pro-Line stuff?

Yes, it's a Raleigh M-Trax 450. The Raleigh Special Products Division was responsible for making all the high end frames/bikes such as the Dyna-Techs, which later became known as M-Trax.

The 450 was one of their top end bikes (hence the Pro-Line). Barrie Clarke rode one when he won the National Mountain Bike Championship in 1996 (it was actually an M-Trax 450 Elite but the frame was the same AFAIK).

That's what the Elite on the end of the model name is then! Maybe the 450 was steel and the 450 Elite was Ti?

i am confused
so there is:
- Dyna M-trax
- Dyna Techs
- Proline
?

are these more or less the same special products by raleigh?

I have a Raleigh Titanium Proline, from a friend who was sponsored by Raleigh bitd
is it any good?

Bit simpler than that really.

M-Trax (with proline for the real top end kit, welded Ti, Steel and Alu frames)
Dynatech (this preceeded the M-Trax branding, bonded frames that were steel and ti)
Technium (US built RSP kit tha was built at the same time as above and below from about '89 to '92, bonded alloy and steel frames)
Lightweights (handbuilt Reynolds 531 frames)

Carl.

Sod knows what i have
