there are so many things wrong with this countries system for benefits and the way they are issued is all wrong people that deserve them get none and people that dont get everything its not fair its not right and its just the way it is.

On the subject of having kids some people dont deserve them anyway and some people pop them out as a means to an end only today when i was out picking some bits up i was amazed and disgusted called into PC World to have a look at some bits as i went into it a woman had left her kid asleep in the car while she went into the shop.

30mins later when i had finished in PCW car and kid was stil lthere no mother to be seen still, she had left her window open a little. i had no phone on me at the time or would have called the police myself and plannedon taking reg when icame out of maplin butby that time car had gone.

It should not be "just the way it is" we need to make drastic changes in this country but this will never happen all the while there are millions of people living on handouts as those very people vote for the system that favours them no matter about anything else

I think that the people on long term benefits (when they have been offered work but refused) or when they are master of their own situation ie;to may children etc.should not be able to vote, that way the working people who get the raw end of the deal, will actually have a chance of changing the state of this country.

I am not ,repeat not, being judgemental but should you have had three children if you can not support them without a third party helping you out (the government) I can not see the logic in doing so,I would like to have a child but would struggle to support one therfore I have none, surely this is the sensible option :?

maybe when you have children you will understand why you have them .

we would manage without the benefits but it would be difficult .

if you look at it from a macro economy point of view , the benefits we get for the kids is spent buying stuff so it goes back into the economy safeguarding jobs , bringing in vat etc....

Yes the money does go back in but perhaps if the money was not given away so freely then the cost of life would come down proportianately,ie less tax=cheaper petrol=cheaper food=cheaper road tax=cheaper national insurance etc.etc.

Just my opinion and a good discussion is being had by all.

But to adopt that stance you could then find people going, smoking people should not be entitled to free NHS if they contract a smoking related illness as they knew the risk's, Alchoholics could be put in the same bracket the list is endless on who should get what and what they shouldnt get but then it wouldnt be a fair system then. everyone of sound mind should have a right to vote i think i agree with the stance taken on child benefit but disagree with the double standards being adopted for it

Of course smokers should pay for their own health care for smoking related illness it is only logical.
But that is a bit off topic.
anyway just my two penneth worth.

Not quite true.. millions of people who deserve benefits are in receipt of them.

Quick mention of the no NHS treatment for smoking related illness..

Rumour recently that the NHS will be paying fat people to lose weight and smokers to quit.

Fat people have been refused treatment on the NHS...

Paying people to lose weight

I am going to emigrate  ......but will now go to mac d's and pile on the pounds to earn some money

Didn't cop any details but yes.. I heard it mentioned in the last week.

Thinking I should get back to 40 a day, earn a few hundred quitting and get back up there!!...

That is, of course, a jest.. not only could I not smoke 40 a day any more, I couldn't afford even 10 a day

40lbs a day will take some doing.....................oh ciggarettes

I think instead of paying them to slim...........make them pay for any weight related illness as alot of fat people do not get ill............I have never been ill and neither has keep it steel

That way when they actually need hospital then they will get hit with a big bill
