Wanted Dyna Tech Frame or similar

Dirt Disciple
My DynaTech tubing has now come apart.

I welded it, resprayed it, all parts put on and was looking good until... I took it for its first spin all expectant and the crank skips..badly :(

Took it to a cycle shop here in Nth Ireland and they tell me they have no idea what it may be. That it would cost too much in labour and time to diagnose the problem so...
Looking for a frame which is as good if not better than the DynaTech so I can shift all my components over.
Groupset - Shimano Exage 500lx . Just your basic groupset but for 20 years the bike has done me proud.

I have a USA made Dyna-Tech Technium. Cromo rear triangle, headtube and BB with bonded alu main tubes. Has had a DIY paintjob and is 19". comes with forks and true temper bars (these are not in great condition). I will take pictures tomorrow.

Dyna tech

Thanks for replying.

Had a look for the Technium and see that it is a 1988 and had the lx groupset so I am assuming the dyna tech range should be able then to swap over the parts? All I know is my sentinel had the exage 500lx group.. crank was 170mm with a bcd of 110.

Pictures would be great so I can compare to the sentinel and what would the price be incl posted to NI? :o

Here's some pics

I've got an MT3 titanium as a whole bike and a lovely MT4 frame that needs a BB drilling out... Check my recent posts for pics of the former and the NW area Llandegla Thread for the latter

But why would your frame cause your gears to jump? :? Surely you just need new(er) drivetrain?

gears / crank

Hi cheers for more bike choices.

Re: gears jumping. Its not the gears but the crank or chainring which seems to be skipping. In high gear ie chain at highest chainring on both ends then it seems to be fine as no weight (though yet to try it uphill) but when weight is applied chain on granny ring etc then the crank seems to skip.
I have just reassembled it so it must be wroing.
The bike repair shop said it looks like the welding I did has caused the bottom bracket to foul up but cant see how that could be looking at what a bottom bracket consists of.
Hence why I am looking for a new frame similar to the dynatech sentinel..

I am going to strip it all down again and put it back so damn carefully and see if that works...
