Milk loaf?

Now you're just messing with my bloody mind......
As a suv'ner I grew up knowing rolls and buns, and just about managed to get my head around the concept of batch's, and barm cakes...

Now you introduce me to this thing you call a milk loaf......

Milk loaf is tops. Seriously. Made like normal bread (as in flour, yeast) but uses milk instead of water. Seriously nice. Apparently they used to make it for kiddies (many years ago) as helped them with their milk intake.

Can also have variations which add loads of butter, and sometimes eggs, that can verge on the brioche / cake side on things. All good though. Bring it on. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

(Sorry, did I mention I'm obsessed with bread and cake?)

I must confess to being a milk loaf virgin, i've seen it many times but for some reason have never bothered to give it a go. I have however, had warburtons fruit loaf, which is very good indeed with lots of butter. Its a bit like malt loaf without the malt.

No, generally women dont say nice baps to other women.

What is milk loaf?

Isnt the fruit loaf like hot cross bun? Or am i thinking of another one? One with cinnamon.
