Unusual Kona models or colours

Here's a few odd-ball dualies!

A URT Kikapu w/ 99-like qualities (i've seen a few of these around)
old frame when i got the new shock (reduced image size).JPG

An alt. colour Kuku (the standard blue and yellow version is already unusual, so this thing must be uber-rare)

99 Stab Dee-Lux in white and kawasaki green (this was purchased from Deep Cove in North Van as a frame only. sadly, I no longer have it and i've only ever seen one other)

Some nice examples!

Thought I would add another of the Kilauea actually in use not just against my fence. A fair few parts I have changed out but I have everything to go back to 100% stock including tires, pedals, saddle, grips etc.

She's a beauty. I've seen this one come up for sale a few times, but they've been lil 16s.. I do have that exact fork though!

Yeah from my knowledge they painted the bike to match the fork. I have a backup one as well in case I ever need it. Needs an overhaul though

Hey i thought I'd post this here to get some help properly identifying it as well. Ive been told that the decals are consistent with a 99 caldera but the colorway and dropouts doesn't. It doesn't appear to be resprayed. Ill get better photos of the dropouts later. IMG_20211107_150045_edit_821520052399113.jpg IMG_20211106_165228.jpg IMG_20211106_165313.jpg

I've have this bike on file from October last year. You are correct that the decals are consistent with a 99 caldera, but the frame is something very different.

The 1999 Caldera has Kona "New Drop" investment cast Dropouts, whereas this frame has the lower spec Dropouts found on the Fire Mountain and Hahanna that year.

I can't quite read the Tubing Decal, but it is likely to also be a lower spec than the Seamless Double Butted Chromoly of the 1999 Caldera.

Perhaps you could take another picture of the underside of the Bottom Bracket, as the digits that are seen in your photograph aren't quite what we need. The Serial Number in your picture starts just out of shot, but will reveal the place and date of manufacture. See example here of what is required:

Zooming in on the tubing decal the best I can see if CROMOLY in large in the middle and maybe BUTTED in smaller font underneath, but that is a stretch

Sorry to make you guys zoom in 😅 here's some more pics. It is definitely heavier than i expected. With the current set.up it weighs exactly 28lbs with the z3 light. The numbers are similar to the red bike on your photo IMG_20211108_103208.jpg

If you glance back to my post above, you'll see that I included a couple of pictures of what we need to see with regards to the Frame's Serial Number. Could you take a picture from further around the Bottom Bracket Shell to reveal all of the number from the scraped away paint area. This will tell me the place and date of manufacture.

The two Serial Numbers in my examples are:
H9N61539
F808K0160

I'm not sure if this picture will help explain what I mean - but I need to see further over the horizon so to speak:
