Ugly modern bikes

My newest is also my ugliest. Weird hydroformed aluminum and a gaudy paint scheme, but the 3x drivetrain and rim brakes are totally retro.

2010 Hardrock, the newest retro bike i could find, bought for less than a Walmart bike. I bought two, that's hers, mine has been changed a bit, my builds are always works in progress

Bikes are the same as everything else. Clothes, architecture, music...

Older songs seem better than the current ones. But that's because we only remember the good ones, while we have to listen to all the current crap. In 10 years time we'll love the 5% very good stuff being currently produced, and everything else will be forgotten... I've never heard any radio playing "number 124th in the lists in 1981!!"...

My wife says people like me that listens to classics radio (or likes retro bikes for that matter) are stuck in the past and afraid of change. I prefer to say I prefer others to deal with the crap and select the good stuff for me...

It might be time to try one of those 29ers people talk about...
