i have a few old grimeca master cylinders off my old maicos which i could try if i feel the need to

and i couldnt use a gator master cylinder as they use mineral oil and the hopes use dot 4/5.1 fluid

Big Eck is BIG, consequently even two discs up front will be put to the test. There is little danger of him going over the bars.

I've seen him go down the side of a bing with a 1 in 1 slope or steeper on a DH bike with discs bigger than a dinner plate and those brakes were working hard

With all the bodging involved its more likely the mountings will go pop :roll:

I am not thin myself and find the comments about weight issues embarassing Maybe you will make me look thin again at 14.5 stone (about)

Are they also saying that your "engineering" skills are not up to par :?: Looks o.k. to me.

i'm 6 foot 4" and big built and just over 19 stone

i'm a welder fabricator foreman by day and as far as i can see the mounts are fine , i've drilled them 1.5mm bigger than they should be which still leaves the outer part of the mount 4.5mm thick which is plenty
