Today's Ride

There's plenty of snow around the higher spots where I am. It was almost too cold for me to go out, but after putting on every available layer it was actually fine, albeit with the annoying combination of sweating on the climbs and being chilly on the descents. Luckily the roads were all pretty clear.

A bit sharp out today . Ice about so out with the mut first, then off for a trundle on two wheels .

It is part of a foot bridge over the Derwent.
Seen by many as a counsellors vanity project.
It doesn't really go any where . Built between two road bridges both of which have good foot ways .
A white elephant.

Tonight it started snowing in the city. Right now, it´s still too warm, so it´s just wet and muddy...
Good thing that I just winterized the Wannabe Gravel Grinder.

After some days of heavy rain the sun came out today by late morning. I wanted to try out my 88 Cindercone that is now finished and I have been eying up this particular section of one of my dog walks where cycling is not really encouraged but I thought I would see if it was quiet enough at least to take some pictures. As it happened there was nobody around and I finally got the chance to slalom through this magnificent avenue of beeches. Fantastic fun and the bike was very smooth indeed...37 years old...I was 32 when this bike was built.

Went out yesterday, no photos as it was effin freezin.
Three of the group had an ice ambush on the way to the meet up spot
Riders and bikes mostly ok, but we cut the route short so we could avoid the hills and trundle along at sea level.
