Old School Grand Master
Delicious!
Apparently they are edible, although it seems a shame to eat one, and I doubt they are anything special. This year I’ve eaten some decent field mushrooms and a very nice cep (aka penny bun). On one ride I wondered about the feasibility of putting some in my back pocket but probably wisely decided against it…Delicious!
Be 100% sure always. They are yummy. But then, I'll eat anything! The cap is just the fruiting body - the fungus itself lives underground, and will produce more caps.
It's not a great look to denude the landscape though.
The parasol has the benefit of being positively identifiable.
The field mushroom less so!
Looks like you had a pretty big campfire to help warm upColder one today.
ooooh breezer and in the right colour tooI ordered some tyres from Sigma Sports online and arranged for them to be picked up from the store - as the store is on the other side of the park from me. It is a 'high end' road bike shop, with some serious kit - amazing bikes that cost more than small car... so I love rocking up on something old and steel and then double locking it to the bike stand outside. Why, I don't know, and no-one cares, but it makes me happy.
More importantly, it is a lovely ride too, through the park and back down the river Thames.

Weather was a bit more rainy than forecast this morning - although blue skies are back now I am home!

I think this is quite cool, better than just looking at plain tarps while they restore it anyway...
Sun did come out briefly !!

22km in total - 12C - nice in the sun, but a cold wind ... lovely ride![]()
....and you carved one hell of a braking rut in that second photo...impressive workso at the start I got headwind. ok, I thought, it'll be okay later. hm...hm... the wind must have read my thoughts, since it was changing direction with me all the way from start to finish. but it was mostly sunny, my new piece of kit (a vest) proved to be good, I got stronger both at the legs and soul thanks to the ever adapting wind.
