Today's Ride

Well....paranoia sets in that the medium BfE 27,5 is too large...much fretting on websites and Joy Of Bike thinks it is a monster.
Much work on legislation regarding early developmental checks on children. Reading actual legislation is like reading tea leaves whilst drowning in treacle.
To relieve the mess in my head I take the BFE out and about - up the hill in highest gear to stress my quads and ham strings, down the hill and around the wood for ten minutes, then out along the river to the railway bridge and back.
Not so much a ride as am attempt at getting the blood flowing for a few minutes.
Nice though.

Cycling. For me, the constant processing of things I find troubling by entering as deep into the cave of pain as possible, leaving them there and heading home a more tolerable human being.

Out in to Norfolk today. About 12 degrees, pretty still, won’t be long until some of the tracks become too muddy again. Mix of mainly tracks and some road to link it all together.

Just checking the bike over this morning.
I wondered what the noise like a gunshot was yesterday. Nothing felt weird so I just kept riding.


I wonder if it was an actual gunshot???!!!!

Yikes where were you? In Thetford, since the start of the Ukraine conflict, there's been much gunfire at the weekends on the ranges from PAF! tp BRRRRRRP!!! to DUNK=DUNK=DUNK!!! - ie single shot small calibre, then small cal machine gun, then heavy cal machine gun. We respect the red flags on those days.

Might you have hit some metal sticking out of the ground? There was a nasty weird metal spike thing on the South Downs above Kingston which we used to try to remember and avoid...

But your divot is in a weird location...and ENVE carbon is mighty strong....
