Today's Ride

Think I’m the opposite, pottering along bridleway tracks and trails are my favourite! I did enjoy my road ride yesterday just think I experience more when I’m away from traffic as I relax a bit more if that makes sense.

Don't get me wrong I don't mind it and there's a lot of nice routes here but as I've mentioned in the past for me getting back into cycling coincided with a lot of lifestyle changes in terms of becoming healthier/fitter etc, and as enjoyable as riding my Kona/Inbred was there's a definite plateau when it comes to speed/distance/etc. I think the last "big" ride I did on the Inbred was in February over to Derwent reservoir which came in at 69.64 miles and 4301ft of elevation in 5h:45m moving time. Compare that to 5 months later going over that area again to do Crawleyside which came in at 70.33 miles and 5299ft of elevation in 4h:25m and it's easy to start seeing why atleast in my case I prefer the roadie, especially as the days are getting shorter already :(

Around 20 this morning, forgot to resume Garmin for a while after pausing for a photo so just estimating. Going up...

Top of above but you can roughly make out the road still going up through the trees to the left.

Similar route to yesterday, mostly around Penshaw monument and back. Really enjoying the 26" gravel kings.

Sunrise on the Sufferbus.

A ride of two halves today. Yes, today, for a change. Sheffield and Tinsley Canal. A few stops to admire the artwork, enjoy the sunshine, and ride the breeze.
Only about 11 miles in total.

Riding a, more or less stock, 93ish Rockhopper Comp. Bit big, bit long, but very nice condition, and pleasant rider. First time I've ridden it. Picked it up because of the tyres it had on it - not these wheels and tyres btw.
