@PhillB I did a double take when I saw that first orange leaf a few days back, feels like it's flew over although I did basically lose a months worth of riding in arguably the best time for it
Pretty much the same loop as the last couple of rides, nothing too taxing just happy to be out. Pretty overcast but hopefully brightening up later.
This section of gravel is the sole reason I switched back to the Billy Bonkers. I put them on yesterday night, got kitted up this morning to head out and found a double flat. I think I hadn't fully closed the presta valve on the rear so when the valve cap went on it let the air out, front was a definite puncture though so a quick tube swap and out the door.
Lap of the park, not my favorite place to ride given the combination of retractable dog leads and people burrowed in their phones but it's not too bad early. As mentioned above can tell autumns setting in!
Not the nicest hill to get up, about a quarter mile with an average six percent gradient so not super bad but it's a struggle to get any speed into it then right at peak it ramps up to 10.
And ofc the Inbred. Much nicer looking with a bigger tyre and by all accounts on Strava not notably slower than the Panaracers. Had the hanger straightened yesterday along with the new chain/cassette is very snappy. Poached the black cage from the Bianchi also, half tempted to source some black XT cranks but then I'd start going down the rabbit hole of changing xyz when really it's perfectly fine as is.
Ride safe if you're getting out there today, hard to tell but this patch had iced over in a few places!
