Today's Ride

The mrs is away at grandmas with the toddler, leaving me half a day to myself.

A gentle 9 mile loop it is then in glorious weather, retro kit on, pick a retro stead and off we go.

Some saddle up, some saddle down. With a bit of the local pump track thrown in for good measure. The teenagers loved the Hugi hub and a dad explained to them what a DCD was !

21°C, a bit windy, with 40 MPH gusts, but a lovely day for riding through rolling hills on deserted country lanes. Over 900 ft of climbing and the Stinson was the perfect tool for the job. Recovering from a summer cold, so not too far and not too fast: just leisurely riding, enjoying the scenery and appreciating being alive.

According to the plaque, Ian Fleming wrote You Only Live Twice, here, at The Duck Inn at Pett Bottom.
