Titanium stem

I would say its titanium then.....but i may be wrong. Titanium has limited magnetic properties compaired with steel.

I don't know about stems, but I also collect yoyos, titanium ones sound very different to alu or steel.
Hold it lightly with one hand and flick it with the nail of a finger on the other hand.
Titanium is much higher pitched and rings longer, for yoyos at least 😁

I think it is titanium because:
1. weight (steel of this length weigh more than 200 gr).
2. It is not ferromagnetic.
3. welds.
I don’t know what bike it was mounted on, but the color is characteristic (anodized gold). do you have any ideas?

Another way to test might be to measure it's volume.
Get a container with volume marks on it, like a measuring jug, fill up to a line high enough to fully submerge the stem, put the stem in, make a note of how much the water level has increased and you have your volume. Maybe remove the bolts.

Titanium should be around 4.5g per cubic centimetre, aluminium is closer to 2.7

Not tested myself, just an idea based on a google search 👍
