That's true. It's an odd look. Nice combination of bits, but I don't like the paint job and I really don't know why he did that to the bars. It looks silly.
Skillful build, no doubt...but looks as though it was painted by someone more used to doing narrow boats or gipsy caravans. And the bars are daft, if you're going to cut them you should flip them too.
I guess we're spoiled by seeing the flawless finishes and absolutely perfectionist lug-lining on some of the NAHBS creations. If that's Mercian's own lug-lining etc. then it doesn't quite meet those lofty NAHBS standards, TBH.
This is its second outing in two weeks - surprise, surprise, it got no takers at FOUR AND A HALF GRAND BIN! It did however gather some derision on a couple of other Fora. Paint job and size make it a bit of a difficult call to "value".
Sealed envelope: it'll do maybe 1100-1200 quids? Can always buy new bars and have it powder-coated(!).
