The "synthesis" between beauty and effectiveness

The thread reads almost like a monologue. Wonderful title.

The end result is what counts. It's all there in every classic aesthetic sense for me in my eyes. It's top. 🥰

And a rider on top, more sombre or in equally very well thought out kit to connect it all in motion, and just let the bike speak and steal the stage.

Very nice i never knew sintesi made parts i like the seat as well did them maguras come in pink or did you do them i wouldnt mine one of these myself good job mate
Thanks for your comments!
The brakes were a sign from the universe 😁
I was actually looking for spare parts so I could repair and upgrade the ones that came with the bike I bought.
And then these pink ones appeared. I really didn't know if the pink was identical to the logos, but the salesman mentioned something that really tickled me.
"Flamingos not included."
Okay, that was enough for me to buy them. A salesman with a good sense of humor. I like optimistic people who bring a touch of joy to the world.
I bought them, and they arrived the same day the bike arrived.

They're repainted. I don't know who did it, but it's a good job (and I know a thing or two about paint). Then, it has some original Magura vinyls, and it looks like a special edition.
The previous owner was truly an artist.
I leave you a screenshot of the announcement

Well, I've made some progress.
The first thing was to get more stainless steel hardware since I barely had any, and replace all the screws on the Marzocchi. That makes it look much nicer. In the process, I was able to tighten them with the torque wrench to the recommended values.

I took the opportunity to change them to an XC 700 that I have in another project in progress.
The fork has been stable since this week, a good sign.
Be carefull with torque on used threads! Torque specifications are made for new parts. In reality older & used parts are failing torques. Means you will always overload threads.

Thanks for your comment, it's very encouraging to continue pursuing my passion for bikes.

For equipment, well, I found a PINK Bell Image. And new. And for €15.
Of course, the size doesn't fit me; not everything was going to be perfect. 🤣

But if one has appeared, another will appear, perhaps in blue instead of pink. Who knows?

So, the bike is really progressing little by little.
I hope the handlebars arrive soon, and I'll see if I can find a stem.
For the shifters, I'm looking to use Sram Halfpipes. At the time, Sram thought they'd be more comfortable for downhill riding. I don't know why, but that's what was being discussed.
Also, I plan to use another Sachs Quarz soon with its power grips. Back in '95 or '96, I was racing a Quarz with X-Ray shifters, and I remember it working very well (very hard).

I've also installed a quick-release seatpost. It's the first time I've ever used one, but it seemed more appropriate for a downhill-oriented bike (I know I'll have to trim the extra bolt).View attachment 996486
Don't use that shock boots. In reality this are great mud collectors. If they where constructed like on moto's, means real sealing against the outer, on top and in the bottom over the lowers, they where gold. But that simple ones are rubbish.
Water + mud will be collected straight into the boots, just over the seals. All new water will run the mud directly into the seals. Because of hydraulics seals will open a very little during compression/decompression, which leads to death.
I have seen such boots full of mud. 🤙
