I too have a sense of humour on occasion Scott -as denoted by the laughter. However I trust you can see the irony in your initial statement. Many people take some of your posts (intended humoursly or not) personally.

Be interested to know to which threads you refer. Know there are a few in off topic generating a fair bit of debate. However as long as things don't get out of hand prefer to let things run their course.

The 'fair bit of debate' ones.. pretty much.
Caught up with them this morning and it just seems that posts are being dismantled at every step.
Totally agree it's best to let things run but I was just a little surprised to see that much debate all at once I guess and, while still civilised, there's quite a bit of gentle antagonism (or maybe that's just my (mis)interpretation?? )...

I had a few personal attacks made against me which as you know I try to ster away from wherever possible,and was just mentioning it in the correct thread,at the top of this thread it says if anyone has a problem.....least thats what I read,anyway bowing out gracefully from all off topic discussions in the future,I came here to look at bikes.

Fair comment. Antagonism has been noted. However always a tricky call when to moderate and we generally prefer to let things run. Perhaps even more so now the bike bit has been split from OT. That said we certainly don't want it turning into some free for all.


As for other comments here think if you are willing to dish it then you should be prepared to take it.

Agreed.

Looking at a lot of people making complaints and I'm quite suprised at the lack of robustness - several seem quite content to be a bit provocative at times, and then start complaining when they reap what they sow.

Personally, I think it should come down to taking responsibility for what you say on forums and accepting that in nearly all cases, it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.
