But I just have to snigger at the thought of that video blaring out across an office for all to hear.

But I will be mindful of the slaves in future.

How about about a warning as this is a family forum?

Who are the slaves?

Those working hard to pay their bills or those mocking them?

Slave to a negative ideology perhaps.

Bairn.

Shouldn't be on here whilst at work, are you paid to be on Retrobike ?

But honestly I know what the score is and I understand how employers feel about it, but there is no harm, as long as the workload get's done in a reasonable time to satisfy the employer.

But I just have to snigger at the thought of that video blaring out across an office for all to hear.

Poor. If you want to link to questionable material mark it NSFW- although I'd question the need to do so at all. Of course in a literal sense it means Not Safe For Work but many would chose not to look at such material at home due to family or personal preference.

Weak bit of trolling there.

Warning system is a good idea.

I was being facetious, attempting a bit of humour, but I am beginning to see once again my attempts at humour fall on stoney ground around here.

I often get accused of taking things too seriously and to lighten up, but it seems I am not the only one who fails to see humour when it is intended.

Or is it a certain truth has been detected and you revile against it because you know it to be sadly true.

What do you expect when 99.63% of your posts (including this one - see bold) are all doom and gloom, woe is me, Anarchy this, and fight the power that? Most of the posters have a pretty balanced posing history of technical, serious, and funny posts, so people look at them as though they may have inferred humour. You and your posts, sadly, cannot (at the present time) be viewed that way. Sorry, but it is your bed.

Just wondered what happened to the boobies thread....?

Last time I looked it was just pictures of birds and now I cant find it :?

Yeah, that is what chronic depression does to one's outlook.

But I suppose I should take a step back from this forum for a while, if not indefinitely seeing as the mood seems to be running low at the moment.

Bugger, thread locked as I was typing a reply to the good and decent posting there, but for who it concerns, I will post here, so you understand my feelings to what I perceive as after all the mud has been thrown and wiped off it is nothing more than difference of oppinion not a reason to dislike.

Marin Man Thank You,

but it is the present economic climate is where I may thrive, I have none but myself to keep, no debts, no mortgage and no family, just me and my cat.

In a time of austerity people tend to seek repair not replacement and yes from my first foray into the possibilities of myself going back to my old skills, I am finding there is indeed loads of work out there, none of which I have taken on may I add, as my personal values hold me back, I am not a fraud, my difference makes it such that I cannot lie to a person's face, I lack that capability, so I must deal in honesty whether an other likes it or not.

I am currently on benefits, I have not, and will not defraud the system, that is why I have in this thread talked about the topic as it is from my viewpoint, a view point based upon my experiences and my personal values. Now I understand others are doing other things, but that is for their conscience to understand, but me, no, I conduct myself in unemployment in the same way as I do employed and other areas of my life.

But as soon as I mentioned to the local populace down the pub, where my lips were loosened by a bought for me pint of Hobgoblin, then came the requests and suggestions of things that are already available to repair, washing machines to chainsaws, outboard motors to inshore boat engines, there is loads of work there for the skilled and the cost aware repairer.

My art though, college is teaching me nothing, a BA will not enhance my employability when it is I am my own boss, and being already in posession of the relevant skills, in time I can do my own thing as a sideline to the bread and butter repairs I need to do to get the funds necessary to perhaps make that oh so desired switch from oil and filth to soot and fire scale.

Oh yes, and I am also offering bicycle repairs, why not.

Hahahaha,

Well that is a classic case of aspergers syndrome for you, I see words as I think and I suppose the rest of it is just creativity.

But you have my thanks. :D
